It is designed and approved for above ceiling installations allowing end users to have a more powerful amplifier system that is easily concealed. Commercial and educational environments with data projectors need an amplifier system that provides clear, powerful sound without taking up excess room. This product fills that need without sacrificing power or clarity.

Features

Advanced Noise Filtration

The all new PMA-245 uses advanced noise filtration to eliminate any interference that may be amplified. In some cases, high frequency noise, well above the human range of hearing, is produced by the sound card of some computers. This causes a thumping sound or more specifically what is referred to as "motorboating." The PMA-245 utilizes our new noise filtration circuitry and completely eliminates this phenomenon.

Real Power

The Roemtech™ PlenumAmp PMA-245 comes with a compact, external, regulated 18V power supply at 3.5 amps. The plenum amplifier is rated at 22.5 watts per channel RMS for an impressive total output of 45 watts. This gives plenty of headroom for demanding applications with high ambient noise levels (such as school classrooms) while delivering clear, powerful sound. Included also is built-in large reservoir capacitance for maximum bass response delivering rail to rail performance.

Easy to Install

Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and weighing less than 1.1 lbs, the PMA-245 is small enough to install just about anywhere. The unit comes equipped with two removable mounting tabs for easy installation on any wall or under any desk. The power is attached to the amplifier via captive screws and the amplifier is polarity tolerant - so it is impossible to connect the power in reverse. Because it can be installed in the plenum area, loss due to theft is a thing of the past. It is the perfect classroom amplifier!

Compatibility

The PMA-245 has two completely independent audio inputs each with dedicated volume control. Input one is line level stereo RCA and input two is line level stereo 3.5mm. So, whether you are providing audio for a computer, wireless mic, video conferencing or LCD screen, the PMA-245 is right for the job. Because it is the world's first plenum rated amplifier and mixer, it can easily be installed out of sight.
